The IRS wants its share of each Gold Medal won in London.  America is one of only a handful of countries which taxes "worldwide" prize income earned overseas.

The Heritage Foundation reminds us that today is the day the Obama Administration ends our Nation's First Amendment right of religious freedom.   Today is also the day that the new HHS  rules seems to cater to sexual active women.  I really do not think this is the 'hope and change" Americans voted for 4 years ago, but we will find out in just over three months.

Desperation can lead people to do or say outlandish things, this is certainly beyond the pale.  Sen. Harry Reid also was beyond the pale when he stated that an unidentified "shareholder at Bain Capitol" said that Romney hadn't paid his taxes in 10 years.  I wonder how soon it will be before the main stream media starts reporting the Republican Presidential hopeful, Mitt Romney, is a felon.  The MSM certainly is doing its best to "paint" Mr. Romney as incapable of being president, fortunately there are some in the MSM that report the facts.

More on the Romney trip and how the MSM is undermining him.

NYC Council Speaker Quinn agrees that she overstepped her authority regarding Chick-fil-A.  Do you think Rahm Emanuel will?  Maybe if he sees this, Chicago voters lining up for Chick-fil-A.  Mayor Rahm should be more concerned about this than what the owner of Chick-fil-A thinks.

Citizens United and American Politics.

It really is getting harder and harder to find all the ways government wastes our tax dollars, but naming a project Pecan Street certainly peeks the imagination.  Learn about Pecan Street here.

Good article by George J. Marlin on the legislative session that ended in June.
