Weekly Wrap-Up

President Obama in his role of Commander-in-Chief is letting our brave Armed Forces down by allowing this to happen.   The ethical and moral responsibility of the Commander-in-Chief is to protect our Armed Forces and to make certain they have all of the necessary equipment for them to protect themselves.  How many dedicated young men and women making tremendous personal sacrifices will be harmed before President Obama responds to the urgent plea approved by the Joint Chiefs of Staff in January?  While this incident is publicized, we Americans, have to ask how many other problems are out there that we are not aware of?

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta says Libya attack was pre-planned by terrorists, yet President Obama still cannot admit that it was a terrorist attack; he can hardly say the word terrorist, other than when he claims he made us safer by ordering Osama bin Laden’s death.  Osama is dead (thanks to the Navy Seals’ bravery), but  al- Qaida survives as evidenced by the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods on September 11, 2012.  The US Senate Democrats and the President may list OBL’s death as a major accomplishment in ending al-Qaida’s strength, but the families of those who are still fighting al-Qaida may differ with that assessment.

Obama’s foreign policy is in shambles and the economy continues to stumble, unable to create enough jobs for people to get back to work.  Even with those who have jobs, their actual paycheck has declined, incomes have fallen an average of $3,040 during the recovery.  Unfortunately, the purchasing power will fall even more when inflation begins and there is no doubt that inflation is just around the corner and the possibility of another recession is looming

Larry Kudlow has some good advice for Mitt Romney and if followed with give Americans a reason to believe all is not gloom and doom.

Everything changes in moments in today’s lightning speed world, and some people are already voting for President.    With the way things change so rapidly and the fact that we are more aware of what happens so quickly, do you think it is a good idea to vote early.  Let us know in our weekly poll.

The world is in turmoil and things are not much different in Albany as the Vito Lopez scandal is still in the news.

Hydrofrackng will take another hit in the latest Matt Damon movie, Promised Land, which is financed in part by the oil-rich United Arab Emirates.

The one very bright note this week was US Senate candidate Wendy Long addressing a crowded room last night at our 2012 Fall Reception.  We will have the video early next week, meanwhile you can watch a video from American Votes taped on September 20.

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

Don't forget, tomorrow is Thursday the 27th, and we will be at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in New York City with our U.S. Senate candidate, Wendy Long and Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey at our Fall Reception.  Click here to get more details.

Can you really afford another four years of President Obama?  What would you household income drop with an additional four years?  Not a comforting thought as election day draws near.

The Heritage Foundation writes about the 5 ways President Obama disappointed at the United Nations.

Here is what the NY Post though of the President's speech.

Here is what Libya's President Mohamed Magarief. thinks about the 9/11/12 killing of Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Should we be reassured that President Obama is paying attention to something?  With all of the serious problems, this is what he tweeted about.

NY Congressional races are making national news in this AP article Newsmax is reporting.

More bad news regarding Obamacare/tax.

Being Pro-Life is positive among swing state voters.

Did you see what Senator Rev. Ruben Diaz wrote on Monday?  Click here to read how he is encouraging his constituents to vote Conservative!

The Nanny's back again.

Why won't Senator Gillibrand debate our US Senate candidate, Wendy Long, more than once.?  Is it because Sen. Gillibrand has failed her constituents?

Part II of Thomas Sowell's Obama versus Obama.

Wednesday's with  Walter E. Williams.

Great news for our US Senate candidate, Wendy Long, the FreedomWorks PAC  endorsed Wendy today.  The full text is here.  You can listen to her on the Laura Ingraham show here.  Mrs. Long's latest press release is here.

The fallout from President Obama's 60 Minutes interview continues here and the Romney response is here.
The Heritage Foundation analyzes the contrast between Romney and Obama on entitlements.

Obama fiddles while his Middle East policy burns.   More from Ambassador John Bolton.

Will Obama Free the Blind Sheik?

The 10% President.

Empty words.  If he meant what he said at the UN today, things would be different in the world.

Instead of tackling serious problems, President Obama portrays himself as "eye candy" on The View.

Double Whammy on health care cost rising, not only do you have to pay increased cost but so does government in pension benefits forcing your taxes to go up as well.   Unfortunately,  that is just the beginning.

Only those who failed basic math classes do not understand that as more people pay no taxes the cost of government goes up.

Costly news for taxpayers in New York State.

News on the Seneca Nation of Indians and New York regarding exclusive gambling rights may be resolved as New York pushes for legalized casino gambling in New York State.

Congressman Allen West on Medicare.

Tuesday's with Thomas Sowell.

Monday, September 24, 2012

This is outrageous!  Enough of schools not allowing children from using their inhalers, yet giving out morning-after pills.  The time for parents to make their voices heard loud and clear is now despite the fact that parents of a pilot program did not protest....was the pilot program in an area they knew parents would not protest?

Did you miss our US Senate candidate, Wendy Long, this morning on Fox and Friends?  If so, you can watch it here.

While most would never do a fact check on 60 Minutes, the NY Sun thankfully doesCBS edits some of 60 Minutes interview.  More on the 60 Minutes interview here.

The exalted ruler wants to control the Internet.  Obviously, the main stream media isn't enough!

Michael Barone certainly nails the president's personality in this opinion piece.

Here is how John McLaughlin sees the presidential polling.

The Heritage Foundation writes that it is time for a true opportunity agenda.

No wonder AARP supports Obamacare/tax.

It may be "intelligent" but it is also a delaying tactic.

The NY Post  looks at Governor Cuomo's midterm accomplishments or lack of accomplishments.

Are you kidding?  Speaker Silver you may be in quicksand, do you really think we believe that you did not know your staffer has a split personality?

Councilman Vallone makes a valid point.

Weekly Wrap-Up

That sound you hear is the collapse of the “Cairo Doctrine” – Obama’s plan to make the Middle East all better by his very presence in the White House.

So was the Libya disaster a terrorist attack or not? There’s more and more evidence to back up what common sense tells us: That of course it was a terrorism.

But “the gang that can’t lie straight” isn’t sure…

Either way, the price of Obama’s Muslimempathy is clear – and getting higher by the day…

The Obama Administration is sure toblame America at every opportunity.

What’s your take? Do you blame the You Tube “film” for inciting Muslim violence? Or the Islamic extremists who hate America and are plotting to destroy us? Vote today in our new Weekly Poll.

Other news this week:

And  after almost four years of Obamanomics, is this a surprise at all?

Fast and Furious is still in the news, and Attorney General Eric Holder is still dodging any responsibility.

And the Washington Times weighs in onHydrofracking. Will Gov. Cuomo cave?

Have a great weekend!

Only have time for one article?  Make it this one and then send it to everyone one you  know.  (Better yet, send them the link to our blog.)  Here is part II.    Part III.  Part IV.   Part V. (this will really make you question his altruism.) Part VI.   (Where is the main stream media on any of this?)   Part VII.  Part VIII,. (Chicago politics ... always looking out for the little guy ...as long as he is an elected official.)  Part IX.  (The plot thickens....) Part X.  (The Arab-American network behind Obama, again where is the main stream media?)  Part XI.  (A leopard doesn't change his spots.)  Kudos to the Washington Examiner for doing its job in a responsible way and informing the American people who their President really is.

The Heritage Foundation on what President Obama is doing to welfare reform and his snide remarks about our national debt.

Thomas Sowell on redistribution.

Sixty-Four percent think too many Americans dependent on government financial aid.

The NY Sun:  US Government playing a game of chicken with itself over the national debt.

Who knows more about our economy and whom would you listen to more:  Barbra Streiseand  or Jack Welch.  (Seriously, if anyone answered Barbra, my question to you is why are you reading this blog??)

New York residents see tax bills soar while income decreases.

Kirsten, are you afraid to debate?   Our US Senate candidate, Wendy Long, speaks out on Omar Adbel Rahman.

Wednesday, September 19, 2012

I am not a Letterman fan so of course I did not watch President Obama on his show last night, good think I didn't.  President Obama has absolutely no knowledge of economics, does not know what the national debt is and totally glosses over the fact that we are borrowing from China, thinks the debt is not a serious problem short term because interest rates are low (I want to hear his explanation to his daughters in a few years) doesn't acknowledge his spending, Obamacare/tax,  (also, he has had three years to cut programs that don't work) what is unfortunate, besides his total lack of knowledge, is that some voters only listen to what he says.
Watch the video here.   Before (maybe after) doing the Letterman Show, President Obama was collecting mega dollars from his friends in Manhattan.  (No time for Netanyahu, but plenty of time for fun....should we petition to change President Obama's name to Nero??)

Any questions about President Obama's true beliefs?  Listen to this audio clip from 1998 of Barack Obama at Loyola University.

Now read the Heritage Foundation on how government dependency rises while taxpayers decline.

Mitt Romney may not be Ronald Reagan, but he certainly isn't Barack Obama who for the last 3 3/4 years has brought about the decline of America because Barack Obama truly believes in redistribution of wealth, among Americans and yes among nations.  Don't let the press, dumb late night programs or non-issues try to suppress the need to vote for the Romney/Ryan ticket.  Go a step further, get involved in the campaign, let Romney/Ryan know you won't be fooled by Obama et al.  No matte what they say or do to distract you.

Michelle Malkin:   "Let the parsers and panicky pundits chase their tails and hurl their nuts. This election is about America's makers versus America's takers. Romney should never, ever apologize for making that clear."

Thomas Sowell on the Great Tax Divide.

The NY Sun and the Silver Spoon.

Just a quick reminder of what Obamacare/tax looks like.

Sheldon Silver not the only one to use a confidentiality clause, but Governor Cuomo defends his use when Attorney General.

Get ready to pay more to go over or through the MTA facilities in New York.

Wednesday's with Walter E. Williams

Tuesday, September 18, 2012

Before everyone starts believing that what GOP Presidential hopeful, Mitt Romney, said was a "gaffe" or worse according to the pundits, read this.

Leaked by the Administration, but Mark Owen is threatened with criminal charges, is there one person in this administration that passed simple logic?

US Constitution trashed on its anniversary.

If I believed what President Obama tells me, why would the US image be eroding

And Mr. President, can you explain this?

The Heritage Foundation opines on China and jobs in America.

Another little gem in Obamacare, the time it takes to tackle Obamacare/tax rules.  More on problems with Obamacare/tax. Same doctor visit, double the costs.

Senator Coburn on problems uncovered in the Social Security Disability Program.

Assembly releases documents listing sexual harassment settlements.  And more taxpayers money was spent on the scandal.

Tuesday's with Thomas Sowell. An excellent column that must be sent to the Romney campaign.

Monday, September 17, 2012

Our US Senate candidate, Wendy Long, has another great question for Senator Gillibrand.  How come Gillibrand never answers any of them and how come the press doesn't press Gillibrand for answers?

Do your children, who have moved into their own homes/apartments still vote from your address?  It must be nice that Sheldon Silver's children continue to vote for him....and as long as they are not voting from where they live, they technically are not breaking any laws.  It's great to be King Silver.   Will he remain King Silver as more facts of cover ups are exposed?  Comptroller DiNapoli owes King Silver for his job, does any one think he would say no to any King Silver request?

Will JCOPE do its job?

While some people vote from where they used to live, the NYC Board of Elections ordered a deceased woman's name to remain on the ballot.  Certainly hope that someone makes sure she doesn't vote at the Judicial Convention!

The NY Times on Thursday's key primary races, more here.

This article will get your blood pressure up, can anyone explain what the arbitrator was thinking with this decision?

Governor Cuomo says New York is open for business, but manufacturing is not listening.

Citizens United is coming to the small screen.

The Heritage Foundation writes how our US Constitution is under fire.

As the first presidential debate approaches (Oct. 3), the NY Sun has some suggested questions for Jim Lehrer.

Whose side is Ben Bernake on ours or the President's?   Another good opinion in the NY Sun on the Bernake vs us battle.

More risky loans?

Should a CNN reporter be doing this?   Why would a reporter do what he did and then expect us to believe what he is reporting is unbiased.

Libyan President says attacks planed, but our Ambassador at the UN, Susan Rice, says they were not.

Weekly Wrap-Up

Work has begun on the inaugural stage for the 2013 festivities.  Depending on who takes the oath, America’s future will be set on an irreversible course. I know which direction I support…

And we’ve seen the news media do it’s best to make this terrible situation just another Mitt Romney campaign gaffe…

Rich Lowry makes the case that Romney is right

Meanwhile the abandonment of Israel – and the empowerment of Iran – continues.

Even with all the strife in the world and our military more burdened than ever, it seems that ensuring our troops’ voting rights is still not a priority for the Pentagon.

Islamic militants, angry anti-American mobs, religious extremists:  they’re all after America, but Chuck Schumer seems to think our nation’s worst enemy is… Paul Ryan?

Our US Senate candidate, Wendy Long, accepts more invitation to debate, why is Kirsten Gillibrand so afraid to debate?  Is the reason why because she can't defend her silence?

The Albany Times Union reports today that Comptroller DiNapoli's lawyers consulted in the secret Assembly payout.

The downside of low interest rates and what should be done. (Hint:  cut spending!)

Inflation on the rise.

Jobless numbers rise.

Is the dollar about to collapse?

HUD created the financial meltdown, and apparently wants to continue on the same path.

Murder in Benghazi.

Victor Davis Hanson:  expect more violence.

The Heritage Foundation opines on the dismal record of President Obama in protecting America's interest in the Middle East. Are the attacks linked to Al-Qaeda?

President Obama to meet with

President Obama likes to compare himself to great previous presidents,  but he sounds more and more like Jimmy Carter.  More on the comparison here.

Maybe if President Obama had read his intelligence briefings, our Embassies would have been secure.

If you were President, after the murder of our Ambassador, would you go to Las Vegas to raise campaign funds?

The pundits may be upset with Mitt Romney, most Americans will be happy with his taking a strong stand.  Media distortion on the Romney statement.  Do you still think the Media is unbiased then  read this.  Ben Stein on Romney.

"It takes brass to defy the facts.  And Bill Clinton has brass."  From today's Thomas Sowell's column.
