Monday Bombshell: Congressman Barney Frank Ends Congressional Career. I personally believe that at the very minimum it is one less vote for runaway spending. Let us know what you think in our weekly poll question.

Congressman Frank's retirement came as a surprise, the fact that Eliot Spitzer supports the OWSer's is not.

Assemblyman Ortiz is at it again. Why do some, if not most, elected officials believe they can use tax dollars to impose what they believe is best for society? Government does not need to make every decision for everyone, in fact we were a much better country when government kept out of our everyday lives. Instead of more mandates, we need mandate relief to control spending. We also need to know that Gov. Cuomo and the Legislature will not raise taxes.

New York ranks 34 in 24/7's Best and Worst Run States in America.

In case you missed this NY Post Editorial over the weekend, it is a must read, on Metastasizing Medicaid. Today's Editorial is also enlightening and they keep up the pressure on NYC Comptroller John Liu to resign. The NY Post isn't enamored with Albany's DA either.

Michael Barone has an excellent column on Entitlements, Not Tax Cuts, Widen the Wealth Gap.

Mark Steyn on More, More, More.

Human Events, Andrew G. Bostom, writes on the differences between Mitt and Newt specifically on Jihad and Sharia, well worth the read.

The Heritage Foundation on Obama keeps turning his back on jobs.
