Rest in Peace, Christopher Stephens.
Was there a plan for September 11 and did we miss the signs?
Totally agree with Charles Krauthhammer.
Total lack of leadership from the White House. Bam's blunt message.
Everyday it is more evident that President Obama is only interested in keeping the presidency for himself and Americans should adore him. Can you imagine what the main stream media would write or promote if anyone other than President Obama was doing a radio interview on September 11 and never mentioned the sacrifices of first responders or the innocent lives lost? Shame on him!
And shame on the NY Times.
If you haven't seen 2016, Obama's America, yet, read this, then forward the article to your friends and family.
Moody's looks to downgrade US again.
JCOPE is finally looking into Speaker Silver's involvement with the Vito Lopez scandal and AG Schneiderman and Comptroller DiNapoli's rolls as well. Lopez wanted any settlement confidential.
Unrelated to the scandal, isn't it disrespectful to have a fundraiser on September 11? According to the Speaker, it isn't, it is looking forward!

September 11, 2012
11 years ago, today, America found her true strength.
We stood together as a Nation when the cowardly terrorist
used planes to try to destroy the one country that has
always given so much to the world;
We watched in horror as the Twin Towers fell,
knowing how many brave firemen, police and medics rushed
to help the innocent people trapped in the burning towers;
We learned of absolute bravery when Todd Beamer said "Let's Roll";
and the heart ache when the Pentagon was hit.
We experienced an unspeakable attack
and we came together and prayed.
September 11, 2001 changed all of us;
today we ask you to
take a moment to honor all
2753 lives lost
and pray for the families who live with
the wounds that will never fully heal.
God Bless America.

The Heritage Foundation opines on the Chicago teachers strike and the latest from Chicago Tribune.
Our US Senate candidate, Wendy Long, traveling around the state, discusses state issues in Oneida. And in case you missed the Albany Times Union article, click here. More here, if you are a Newsday subscriber.
The NY Sun: Government becomes citizenship in Obama's new language of politics.
The NY Post weighs in on President Obama and Jobs, Jobs, Jobs.
According to the NY Daily News, Assemblyman Vito Lopez can be removed from office now. Not everyone believes that he can be removed without a criminal conviction. Will he go from Assembly to City Council? (Personally, I can not understand how anyone could ever vote for him for any position.) AG Schneiderman and Comptroller DiNapoli play down their role in the settlement. More problems for Assemblywoman Naomi Rivera.
Rest in peace, Ethics Commission. (This is ongoing news developing throughout today, will have more on the situation tomorrow.) This from the NY Post on JCOPE.

Weekly Wrap-Up
“It was stale and empty. He's out of juice.” That’s PeggyNoonan’s blistering take on Obama’s acceptance speech – and overall the
response hasn’t been much more positive than that.
“Promises, promises,” says the New York Post in an editorial
that also reflects on the countless broken or unkept promises Obama has already
made to the nation.
John Podhoretz calls the speech “a surprise flop.”
Charles Krauthammer brands Obama’s address “one of the
emptiest speeches I have ever heard on a national stage,” and deems Michelle
Obama’s “the convention’s most brilliantly cynical speech.”
What was missing? Obama skipped out on health care... the stimulus...
the battle over voter ID laws...
Overall, the Democrats’ convention showed them to be the
party “of, by and for the government.”
“Stale and empty,” “out of juice” – that could describe our
economy after this morning’s jobs report...
What do you think are the best ways to create jobs and get
the economy moving again? You have plenty of choices in our new Weekly Poll.
Vote today!
And have a great weekend.

President Barack Obama owes former President Bill Clinton big time, if his "little white lie" works. Clinton certainly tried to convince Americans that “No president, not me, not any of my predecessors — no
one could possibly have repaired all the damage that [Obama] found in
just four years,” Clinton said.
“But he has laid the foundations for a new, modern, successful
economy of shared prosperity. And if you will renew the president’s
contract, you will feel it. You will feel it. The old "I feel your pain" President, the one that was dragged kicking and screaming to the center by Speaker Newt Gingrich (who actually saved Clinton's presidency back then) was in full view last night at the DNC convention. President Bill Clinton can still mesmerize a crowd with his witty remarks and if you don't pay close attention to what he is spinning, you just may believe him. Fortunately, many do pay attention and fact checkers prove much of what the man from Hope, inveigling for the man who campaigned on Hope and Change, does not paint the whole picture with his wonky numbers.More exaggerations, this time regarding Solyndra.
689 Reasons to defeat Obama.
God and Jerusalem are added back to the DNC platform, but not without a lot of controversy.
Listen to the floor vote here and here. Andrew Malcolm has some thoughts on what happened last night. CBS NY weighs in also.

The NY Post editorial slams AG Schneiderman.
Assembly Democrats, feeling the heat, may look for a new leader, while Andrea Peyser says New York has its own Paterno.

The DNC adopts its platform and substitutes government for God. Please have all the delegates read our Constitution and Bill of Rights, they obviously need a refresher course on the importance of God and the
the fact that government is beholden to its citizens, not citizens beholden to their government. BTW, why was Senator Durbin so testy?
Jerusalem suffers the same fate as God in the DNC platform as one of the major areas of agreement between the Democrat and Republican Parties in the past has been eliminated in the DNC platform. See what our US Senate candidate, Wendy Long, has to say about the DNC Platform.
Good presentation, alarming speech.
Solyndra figure gets the Red Carpet treatment at DNC. I guess when you are a major bundler and waste taxpayer money you get to stand behind the podium and pretend you made a difference to someone other than your close friends.
Solyndra's debacle contributed to the $5.4 trillion this Administration has spent since taking office, bringing our total debt to $16 trillion. And all hear at the DNC is how they need to spend more.
Our US Senate candidate, Wendy Long, has a few words to say about the Senator Gillibrand's change of heart when it comes to improper advances.
So does the New York Post and the New York Daily News. The NY Times looks at Vito Lopez's kingdom. Don't forget to vote in our weekly poll.....
Comptroller John Liu back in a NY Post Editorial.
And more bad financial news for New Yorkers.

What was this Judge thinking? The prisoner is serving a life sentence for killing his wife and is in an all male prison and the Judge orders taxpayers to pay for his sex change operation, the decision is just mind boggling.
Governor O'Malley was forced to walk back his original statement, guess he didn't read the memo before going on Face the Nation.
If they need ID's to vote at a convention, shouldn't participants need an ID to vote for elected officials?
The Heritage Foundation focuses on education with an article on the Good, the Bad ad the Ugly of the school year.
Sometimes you hear things on the news or read a headline and think it must be an April Fool's joke, but it is September and this is not a joke. Could not agree more with the NY Daily News editorial that states "Once there was command authority with consequences. Now, there’s psychobabble and touch-feely gobbledegook".
Really Speaker Silver? I don't think you will find many people believing that you asked Assemblyman Lopez to resign. You just got caught with your fingers in the pie and now you are trying to cover your huge problem, not the first time you have covered for Assembly staff, but let's hope it is the last. Time for you to resign along with Assemblyman Lopez. Steve Malanga writes in the WSJ Where the Statehouse often leads to the Big House, and in all honesty it paints an ugly picture of some of our elected officials.
