New York's Firemen, Policemen and all Emergency Responders did what they always do best, kept New Yorkers as safe as possible under the worst possible conditions.  Kudos to them!   The men and women who serve are dedicated to making our lives as safe as they can often going above and beyond what is expected.

The NY Post editorial today, explains why it is necessary to remove Garaufis from ruling on the firefighters case before him.

America is blessed with a Constitution that guarantees Freedom of the Press and we are a greater country because we have a press that is unafraid of speaking out against government atrocities.  Yet, they, for the most part, are silent on Benghazi.  Why?  Fortunately, not everyone is silent.  Jonah Goldberg writes Benghazi, No Mere 'October Surprise'  and Victor Davis Hanson on Careers Will End Over Libya Coverup.  The White House obviously does not want to answer any questions regarding Benghazi, despite the fact that President Obama said (regarding Sandy) "We leave nobody behind."

Can you believe,  Andrea Mitchell?   Instead of reporting on Benghazi, she criticizes Governor Mitt Romney for helping Sandy's victims.

Are you eligible for an Obamacare/tax exemption?

For Halloween, Obama's scariest domestic policies.   And if that is not enough to scare you,  the Heritage Foundation reminds us of Taxmageddon.  Not scared yet?  Read this on Obamacare/tax.

Just love the sub-title on this article A big storm requires Big Bird?  The sub-title is:  Necessary government doesn't justify extravagant government.  Truer words were never written!

Certainly, there was a better use of our tax dollars...

...And this is for all who think climate changes caused Sandy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been impacted by Sandy's fury, especially all who have lost everything in Breezy Point.  To the best of our knowledge, no lives were lost in Breezy Point; the devastation in Breezy Point, New York City,  New Jersey and large portions of the Eastern Coast will be felt for weeks, months and possibly years to come.

For those who can, a donation to the Salvation Army can be made here and will be used where needed most.

Some coverage is here, here and here.  The Heritage Foundation writes about Sandy's impact hereForbes estimates the damages to be in excess of $20 Billion.

The questions still remain on what happened September 11, 2012 in Benghazi.  National Review has more on Benghazi here

If President Obama is re-elected, will there be a suicidal dive off the fiscal cliff?

Scary thought:  President Obama suggests a Secretary of Business, if elected to a second term.  I seriously doubt this is a trial balloon, the man loves government agencies where he can give his cronies a job.

Reason for hope; NPR 8- point swing puts Romney in front.

It's been 3 1/2 years since the US Senate passed a budget, yet Senator Gillibrand wants to keep her job.  Tell her NO!  Vote for Wendy Long on the Conservative Line.  Read the NY Post editorial endorsing Wendy Long here.

Tuesday's with Thomas Sowell.

Sandy wants all your attention and by all accounts has taken Benghazi off the front pages.   The families of our four Americans murdered in Benghazi have to live with their loss forever; the anguish of unanswered questions will not lessen with the pounding of Sandy's surge and we must not let allow Sandy's destructive forces to sweep the Benghazi investigation out to sea.  Lest we forget, election day is just 8 days away.
The NY Post Editorial on the incompetence of the administration.

The last time the Des Moines Register endorsed a Republican was in 1972,  on Saturday they endorsed Mitt Romney.  On Saturday, the Los Angeles Daily News also endorsed Mitt Romney.  Hmmm, will the New York Times do what is right for Americans?  There was a time the Gray Lady would have, but today her bias is so bottomless and her disdain is so deep, the Gray Lady would rather go out of business than save America.

President Obama is sadly mistaken when he states his re-election would be a "mandate" to raise taxes.

Good advice for Governor Cuomo from E.J. McMahon, but will he take it?  Will the Governor listen to the people as support for hydrofracking is increasing because people need jobs.

Yes, Wendy Long faces an uphill battle, but you can still help our US Senate candidate.  Wendy Long is  dedicated to helping all New Yorkers.  We need a strong conservative voice to counter the "government is the answer" to everything voices in the US Senate.

Only one word fits this man who is seeking re-election in Queens:  Opportunist!

Stay safe, stay dry and say a prayer for those in Sandy's path.  And a special prayer for our young men guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as they remain vigilant.

Weekly Wrap-Up

“Redistribution and lingering dependency — it’s not just an Obama thing,” warns the New York Post, explaining a $2 million plan by Andrew Cuomo for new handouts for Medicaid recipients.

This is just the latest bad idea from New York politicians. The New York City Council is churning out dangerous proposals to hamstring law enforcement. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly demolishes them all. “These bills are unworkable at best,” he warns. “At worst, they’d put police officers’ lives at risk.”

We all know that bad ideas concocted in New York City can easily go statewide once the liberals in Albany get inspired. So here’s a question for all New Yorkers: Whose side are you on? Commissioner Kelly and the men and women of law enforcement? Or the liberals who think the police, not the criminals, are the real problem? Vote now in our new Weekly Poll.

More ideas from President Obama – “The New Economic Patriotism: A Plan for Jobs and Middle-Class Security,” which outlines Obama’s second term agenda. I’m not calling these “bad” ideas because they’re just too old, empty and meaningless to describe.

Rich Lowry does his best here to analyze this “artifact of the diminishment of President Obama.”

John Podhoretz offers even more proof of that diminishment…

And even more evidence from Charles Krauthammer…

Stop Believing in Obama,” advises the Washington Times, adding: “The American people have no obligation to devote another four years of their lives to a man who has failed them. The country deserves better.”

Indeed we do. Have a great weekend!

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand wants to raise your taxes!  Read how she plans to raise your taxes here. Let everyone know a vote for Wendy Long is a vote to protect the taxpayers of New York State. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, while wanting to increase your taxes, is also preventing,  by supporting the delay in hydrofracking in New York State, the ability for New Yorkers to have good paying jobs.  Hydrofracking has been around for over 100 years and has been a boon to other parts of the United States, why is it that Senator Gillibrand is not supporting New York's citizens ability to achieve a better economy?  Our US Senate candidate, Wendy Long, understands the importance of creating jobs and helping families.

Daniel Henninger writes in the Wall Street Journal about President Obama's sudden credibility gap and it is all due to the lies, scandal and politics of Benghazi.  Investors Business Daily writes:  Obama knew Benghazi was terrorism and did nothing.  The New York Post editorial page chimes in on your duplicity also.

Heritage Foundation examines the President's plan for a second term which include more green jobs.  How's this working out Mr. President?  Let me answer for you, your buddies prosper while taxpayers are forced to pay the bills. As you stated in the infamous editorial you did not want published, the economy can wait.
Economist Larry Kudlow examines the President's plan here.

Contrast the President's view with that of Congressman Paul Ryan and Governor Mitt Ryan and Americans will choose one without government dependence.  The debates have proven that simple fact.   Americans are optimistic that the Romney/Ryan ticket will bring the economic recovery Obama has no idea of how to implement. Look at President Obama's  home state's (Illinois) economy and the economy of the states that thinks as he does and one will understands that Americans are too smart to give Obama a second term.

The Detroit News, the Washington Examiner and the New York Post endorse the Romney/Ryan ticket.

Governor Andrew Cuomo did you read this article?  If you did, how can you possibly even think of burdening New York taxpayers with public campaign finances?  Taxpayers should not be forced to pay for campaigns and they certainly should not be forced to contribute to a system that is corrupt.  New Yorkers do not want their hard earned tax dollars to be used to fund campaigns!

A tribute to one of the original pro-life men in politics, a true statesman who was elected to the United States Senate running only on the Conservative Line, Judge James L. Buckley.

The Heritage Foundation writes about Obama's Imperial Presidency and reminds us of Obama's blatant disregard of law.   And the Washington Examiner reminds us that President Obama puts politics ahead of national security.  If you have any friends or family still "on the fence", send them these two links.

The National Review isn't impressed with the President's ridiculous pamphlet.  Other than the main stream media who would be impressed with rehashing the failed ideas of the last four years.  The Wall Street Journal calls it "A Second First Term."

Broken promises, didn't the current administration ban lobbyist from the White House?

James Biden benefits by being the VP's brother....HillStone International lands lucrative contract.

A time for choosing -- the 2012 reasons.

More on Benghazi here.  And more on Obamacare here.

Sequestration's unintended consequences will make us vulnerable.

The NY Post editorial opines on the rising MTA costs.

New York is number one again....for having the highest tax burden in the nation.  Yet the talk of coming back after election day to consider campaign finance reform and raising their salaries is still rampant.  Who will be left to pay more even more in taxes?

Former Assemblyman Michael Benjamin has some good advice for Governor Andrew Cuomo, especially when he stays that the Governor should be more concerned with New Yorkers' economic survival.

Liz Benjamin recognizes the importance of our "get out the vote" robocalls for US Senate candidate, Wendy Long.

Hear Wendy Long on today's Fred Dickers' radio program here.  As an added bonus, George J. Marlin is on in the second half hour.

Wednesday's with Walter E. Williams.

The debates are over and now it is up to you.  Your vote is important.

The Heritage Foundation has its analysis here.  The NY Sun has an editorial written just after the debate that liked one Obama line.  The Washington Examiner opines how President Obama distorted facts to stir women's fears.

The NY Post calls the debate "Mitt's Optimism" while stating that  "Bam Booted It (Benghazi)"

Here are Britt Hume's thoughts on the debate.

Did Debbie Wasserman Schultz watch the same debate as the rest of us?

Do you depend on PolitiFact to accurately report the facts?  You won't after you read this.

Eye-Opening article in the Weekly Standard about about how much interest we will be paying in a decade.

And,  unfortunately,  more discouraging news, this time about profits.

Tuesdays with Thomas Sowell.  Another great opinion by a gentleman who really understands America, you'll want to send this one to family and friends.
