The votes are in for the School Board elections and 93.6% of the budgets passed. Voters may have recognized that district tried to restrain spending and keep property tax increases to a minimal level but the average statewide tax levy increase was approximately 3.4 percent for 2011-12. On the positive side, it is beginning to trend down, so keep the pressure on by being informed.
