Without regard to what the people of the United States want, the 58 Democrats and 2 Independents in Congress voted to allow Senator Reid's Health Care Bill to move forward for a full debate. What a disgrace, some sold out for pork, and others just so they would have it both ways. This bill only needs 51 votes to pass the Senate now, so 9 Senators can vote no, "on principle", tell their constituents that, and hope to be re-elected. The point remains, if they had not voted on Saturday night to move the vote forward, they would have been intellectually honest. Shame on them!

In New York State, it looks like some business-minded democrats are getting fed up with the WFP. Quick, somone should tell them they will soon be just as disillusioned with the Independence Party.

More on the ACORN front.

Articles previously overlooked that certainly deserve attention here and here.

Back here in New York, Michael Goodwin is calling for the return of "Boss Tweed" which, while it is a little tounge-in-cheek, is a pathetic assessment of our Legislature. Fred Dicker writes how they "all hate each other". And if anyone thinks, AG Andrew Cuomo, is the knight in shinning armour waiting to bring New York back to its glory days, they must read this.
