Does President Obama really believe he is President? If so, please explain the need he has to bow to another head of state? Why is he upset with our neighbor, PM Stephen Harper?

Weekly Wrap-up

Let’s wrap up this week with a look at politicians in trouble...

First and foremost, President Obama. His approval rating has dropped down to 43% according to a new Fox News poll.

According to that same poll, ObamaCare is still wildly unpopular – which explains why so many politicians who voted for it are facing big trouble come Election Day...

Rep. Bart Stupak – the supposedly pro-life politician whose caving in on the issue of taxpayer-funded abortion helped make ObamaCare the law of the land – has read the tea leaves and decided to retire.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is in trouble with the state’s teachers unions, who don’t like his efforts to rein in spending. Their response? A “joke” about praying for Christie’s death.

Of course David Paterson has to be in here somewhere. He’s in trouble with the public sector unions for freezing state pay increases.
And Gov. Paterson is under fire for putting off a special election for the heavily-Republican 29th District.

Anybody who crosses Andrew Cuomo is likely to be in trouble with Cuomo family enforcer, Joseph Percoco.

Ever notice how media profiles of liberal political henchmen like this fellow or Rahm Emmanuel tend to be more lighthearted and endearing, whereas a story about Karl Rove going to the grocery store would be given a sinister spin?

As Thomas Sowell has made clear in his “Race and Politics” series (Part 4 is here), we’re all in trouble thanks to the so-called multiculturalism being pushed by the left-wing intelligentsia. Well, not all of us. “The beneficiaries,” Mr. Sowell points out, “are politicians and race hustlers.”

One politician who’s doesn’t seem to be in trouble at all is Russian President Dmitry Medvedev – especially after President Obama gave away the store in his START II nuclear treaty.

According to The Washington Times, “Under the new treaty, the United States and Russia agree to limits in numbers of warheads, but only the United States has promised to freeze its technology. This is an open invitation to Russia to modernize its way to nuclear dominance.”

Charles Krauthammer puts it quite simply: “The naiveté is stunning.”

Of course, President Obama can’t be bothered with our enemies around the world when he’s focused on the person he sees as the true threat to America: Sarah Palin.

Have a great weekend!

It should be obvious to everyone now, that President Obama is a true believer in the far left wing agenda; unfortunately the damage he is doing to America may last well after he is voted out of office in three more years. The November elections are becoming crucial; it may be the only hope America has to stem the completely misguided beliefs of our commander-in-chief. How can anyone who truly believes in America do what he is doing? No one can be that naive, that foolish, truly believe this pipe dream, who understands what hap pend on September 11, 2001. We are at war and we have elected a President who believes by giving up our strength, we will prevail. Every veteran who laid down their life to protect us, every veteran who served our Country with pride, every current and past member of our all volunteer force, willing to do the same, must be questioning his judgement. We need more than TEA Parties, we need every American to question where this man is leading us.

And it is not only what he does that makes the headlines, it is the subtle things, that should be noticed.

Alan Greenspan in the news again, here, here and Bernake seems to be preparing us for more taxes. Will it be the VAT tax? Of course, the VAT tax did wonders in Europe. And enhanced pensions helped the taxpayers in California.

Could some unions be learning that taxpayers do not have any money left. Hopefully, but the WFP certainly has not.

Race and Politics, part two and part three by Thomas Sowell.

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Thomas Sowell writes of Race and Politics.

Congressman Henry Waxman is silent on David Axelrod's finances.

The media mentioned the recess appointment of Craig Becker, however I failed to see much on some of the others. This article may explain why.

Another success for President Obama? He has weakened the United States of America; obviously, the President believes gun control works...but history proves it only works for criminals. What is he thinking? The Heritage Foundation has it analysis of his approach to reduce nuclear arms. The New York Times stated in its article "But the president said in an interview that he was carving out an exception for “outliers like Iran and North Korea” that have violated or renounced the main treaty to halt nuclear proliferation. " And this is supposed to make us feel safe? How? We do nothing to protect ourselves, in fact, under this administration, we do everything to weaken us, then if we feel threatened by Iran and North Korea we will be prepared? How? With what? Iran and North Korea are laughing all the way to their nuclear facilities.

Leave it to the WFP to want to punish success by proposing institute a "bonus tax". All they want is your money for failed programs.

The Bond Buyer writes about Comptroller DiNapoli's report.

California has more problems and if we do not get New York's spending under control, it is only a matter of time before the same problem reaches the east coast.

Liz Benjamin has a copy of a confidential memo sent to the state committee members of the Conservative Party.

Monday, April 5, 2010

Why is New York State so expensive to live in? Lawrence Mone has some of the reasons. Tom DiNapoli has an explanation also. Comptroller candidate, Harry J. Wilson, had some strong words for the current comptroller.

The Washington Post questions President Obama's 17 minute response to a woman's claim of being overtaxed. Can't help but wonder how long he would take to respond to the Heritage Foundation. Or E. J. McMahon's article.

Sobering thoughts on middle-class Americans.
