Subsidizing Bad Decisions is the title of the latest Thomas Sowell column and it certainly reflects the frustration that those of us who pay our mortgages and debt on time, fell about having to use our tax dollars to pay for those who do not. http://townhall.com/columnists/ThomasSowell/2009/03/10/subsidizing_bad_decisions
Ken Blackwell explores the Culture of Entitlement in his current column http://townhall.com/Columnists/KenBlackwell/2009/03/10/the_culture_of_entitlement
While Michael Goodwin reminds all of us how President Obama is "beating the class warfare drum" http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/columnists/goodwin/index.html
All three articles reflect the growning unrest as President Obama stives to change America from a nation that use to pride itself on its self-reliance to one that is totally dependent on government in less than two months. The Earmarks to prove this are reflected in the $410B spending bill being debated by the US Senate, now, with the republicans who support the bill having a good share of the earmarks. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/03/10/gop-cross-overs-earmarks-gain-billion-spending/

The New York City Council certainly knows how to WASTE your tax dollars! http://www.nypost.com/seven/03092009/postopinion/editorials/quinns_cash_dispenser_158660.htm
And the New York State Assembly knows how to "decriminalize narcotics trade" http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/2009/03/09/2009-03-09_saying_yes_to_drugs_assembly_would_dange.html We must emphasize to the Senate how dangerous this bill is.

Weekly Wrap-Up
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sums up the week perfectly...
http://in.reuters.com/article/environmentNews/idINTRE5251VN20090306
“Never waste a good crisis,” Hillary said in a speech in Belgium today. You and I see America reeling from a recession. Hillary sees an opportunity for “global warming” hysteria and bigger government. Way to look on the bright side, I guess.
Here at home, President Barack Obama isn’t wasting the current economic crisis. For someone who campaigned against “the politics of fear,” President Obama sure seems happy to exploit people’s concerns about health care and the economy.
The result? Read this Wall Street Journal piece for a look at how “Obama’s Radicalism is Killing the Dow” – and how his left-wing policies will hurt businesses and families, and weaken America’s national security...
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123629969453946717.html
Here in New York, Senate Republicans have presented an “alternate” budget that, at first glance, cuts more spending, gets rid of Gov. Paterson’s most ridiculous taxes and fees and keeps the STAR rebates that were promised to New Yorkers...
http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=776967&category=REGION
The Conservative Party is studying this new budget proposal, and talking with our allies in Albany to see if the cuts go far enough – and if this budget offers enough to taxpayers.
More bad news for Gov. Paterson... The headline says it all: Paterson’s Approval Rating Plunges to Record Low...
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/04/nyregion/04marist.html?ref=nyregion
This has got to worry Gov. Paterson: According to the Times, “Even Eliot Spitzer had a higher approval rating, 30 percent, in his last days as governor after being implicated in a prostitution scandal almost a year ago.”
Bad news for Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, too. More and more left-wing Democrats are plotting primary challenges against Hillary’s replacement...
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/05/nyregion/05senate.html?ref=politics
Are the liberals in trouble heading into 2010? Now that’s what I call a good crisis – and you can bet the Conservative Party will not waste it.
Have a great weekend!

Perhaps the MTA can learn from the Mayor, who should be commended for pulling council money for groups who are not producing. http://www.nypost.com/seven/03062009/news/regionalnews/mike_pulls_council_money_for_groups_158263.htm
The MTA should examine and cut its own budget, significantly, before extracting more money from hard working New Yorkers.
In fact, the Council should ask how former Councilman Stephen DiBrienza, has managed to keep a district office open with grant money. This story will explain the absolute waste of your tax dollars: http://www.nypost.com/seven/03062009/news/regionalnews/grants_keep_ex_pol_in_office_158236.htm
Today's editorial in the New York Post is a must read for President Obama: http://www.nypost.com/seven/03062009/postopinion/editorials/the_missiles_of_march_158207.htm
And he should also be reading Charles Krauthammer who writes of President Obama's "clever politics, but intellectually dishonest to the core". http://townhall.com/columnists/CharlesKrauthammer/2009/03/06/obamas_big_bang_agenda
The Wall Street Journal has an opinion column by Sally Pipes on the Administration's expansion of health care which is worth reading: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123629779856246193.html

Six weeks and the honeymoon is over? President Obama's masterful oratory seems to be wearing thin and ordinary people are having regrets. When returning from CPAC last weekend, it was hard not to hear conversations between people on how disappointed they were with the new administration. Now, even columnists are writing about the dissatisfaction with his programs. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123621161271234665.html
Thomas Sowell states "Words can shield the most blatant reality" but when people understand the reality most will reject the ultra liberal agenda no matter what the words say. http://townhall.com/columnists/ThomasSowell/2009/03/03/is_talk_cheap
And if you still think the health care proposals are a good idea, you must read this: http://townhall.com/columnists/WalterEWilliams/2009/03/04/swedens_government_health_care
Today is the last day to vote in this weeks poll and we sincerely hope that you take the necessary action in our call to action segment.

First, my apologies for not blogging on Tuesday and giving you the information on CPPAC as promised. In case you missed our two-day conference in Albany, you can view it at: http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=cpnyspac09&hl=en&emb=0&aq=f#q=cpnyspac09&hl=en&emb=0&aq=f&start=10 or go to Google Video and type in "cpnyspac09" to view the speeches. There are 18 segments to make it easier for you to view. Special thanks to the Party's Secretary, Howard Lim, for recording and posting this year's conference.
Yesterday's New York Post Editorial was certainly on target: http://www.nypost.com/seven/03032009/postopinion/editorials/labors_greed_157788.htm
Rich Lowry lays out the problems with President Obama's spending: http://www.nypost.com/seven/03032009/postopinion/opedcolumnists/obamas_agenda__157761
And William Kristol has a few words about the Market's reaction to President Obama's spending:
http://www.nypost.com/seven/03042009/postopinion/opedcolumnists/the_markets_message_for_the_prez_157889.htm
Another sobering opinion on the lack of fiscal control, on a much broader scale is Ralph Peter's assessment: http://www.nypost.com/seven/03042009/postopinion/opedcolumnists/demagogues_rising_157874.htm
And if anyone in the Obama Administration believes that people are not paying attention they should check the sales of Atlas Shrugged and tea: http://townhall.com/columnists/MichelleMalkin/2009/03/04/going_galt_americas_wealth_producers_vs_wealth_redistributors
Don't forget to vote in our poll and to take the recommended action in our Call to Action!

All we can say is What A Conference!! This CPAC was the most energized and informative in recent memory...Romney, Pence, Ryan, DeMint, Chaffet, Sanford, Rush and of course, 14 year old Jonathan Krohn. The nation is still talking about Rush and I've seen Jonathan Krohn on Fox TV twice since the conference concluded. Kudos's to all who ran this year's CPAC, the most attended ever.
Albany is still ignoring the ever increasing alarm that we are spending far too much and unions must be prepared to make some sacrifices: http://www.nypost.com/seven/03022009/postopinion/editorials/share_the_pain_157653.htm
Don't forget to vote in our poll and take action on legislation. Stop by our website, www.cpnys.org you will also be able to view a few video's that will energize you in the same manner as the attendees of CPAC. Also details tomorrow on how to view the video of our CCPAC. Till then...
