With so much news about unemployment and taxes, some good news is most welcome: the rescued miners are an example of the good that occurs when nations work together and an overwhelming faith in God.

The New York Post Editorial rightfully slams Sen. Stewart-Cousins and Assemblyman Kavanagh for legislation they sponsored which will cost taxpayers billions of dollars. Both are identified as Democrats and called stalwarts of the Working Families Party, they are, and this legislation is exactly what the Working Families Party demands. So my question to every New York Citizen is this: How will Albany ever change its thinking if Andrew Cuomo, both a democrat and endorsed by the Working Families Party, is elected? Answer: It won't. Will the NY Post Editorial acknowledge that fact? Doubt it. They seem to be drinking the Cuomo Kool-Aid.

Interesting article by Michael Goodwin on Andrew Cuomo earning his "reformer" label. He at least questions if Andrew Cuomo will be able to deliver what he promises....personally his promises are not enough...in the second part of his article on Hillary Clinton, be begins with
"Rule No. 1 is that a tiger does not change its stripes, which brings us to Hillary Rodham Clinton" Well, Mr. Goodwin, if a tiger doesn't change its stripes, do you believe Andrew Cuomo will? Doubt it, he could have rejected the Working Families Party line.....but he didn't.

Even if all four suggestions are adopted by New York, we would still have a shortfall, but there is some good advice from four Governors who have cut their state budgets.
