Add this to New York's deficit. The NY Post is correct in the fact that borrowing certainly helped get us into the deficit morass, spending is the other culprit. Even Mayor Bloomberg thinks more borrowing is NOT the answer. Spending is the problem. In this article, Senator Antoine Thompson "proposes that the state borrow $5 billion to pay for clean water, clean air and, in the process, create green jobs. " Who is going to be here to pay the bills when due? At least Sen. Sampson seems to understand that "we cannot tax and spend our way to prosperity".

Isn't in interesting that Comptroller DiNapoli wants reform now, after he voted for how many spending programs, tax increases and unnecessary bonds to pay for his follies?

The Heritage Foundation with more on HCR. More on Nebraska's sweet deal.

Hope that people are realizing that the direction the President and Congress are taking this Country is totally wrong.

If only Thomas Sowell had run for president.
