It's official, the House of Representatives, passed the President's Stimulus Bill. Every democrat member from New York State voted for using your tax dollars to increase spending on items that do absolutely nothing to stimulate the economy. Included in the bill is $1B for Amtrak, (Amtrak has been in the red for over 40 years); $150 M for the Smithsonian; $650 M for coupons for the digital TV conversion, $400 M for global warming research, $2.4 B for Carbon Capture projects, and millions for food stamps and child care (thanks to Bill O'Reilly's Talking Points for these stats). The list goes on and on and is covered in the following articles.

The New York Times covers the bill http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/29/us/politics/29obama.html?_r=1&hp

So does the New York Post

And the Wall Street Journal:

The New York Post Editorial has its say:

and the Wall Street Journal gives Rush some space for his thoughts on the Stimulus Bill:

CPNYS wants you to know that Nancy Pelosi's democrat majority freely spends your money as well as your great grandchildrens money. We want to thank every republican member who voted no and the 11 democrats who supported the American people by voting no. The official vote is here:

By the way, President Obama, campaigned for an open government, and stated that one could learn about the Stimulus Bill at recovery.gov. We clicked on recovery.gov and needless to say were very disappointed. Check it out here: http://www.recovery.gov/
