September 12, 2009 is a Saturday and if you do not have any plans yet, you may want to march on Washington, DC. More details here: http://912dc.org/ Out of control government spending is the major reason for the march and if you are tired of government spending, help make this march a huge success. If you can't go...forward the website to family and friends to let them know it is taking place.

Speaking of spending, we have a question for the press: Why do we have to read this in a Canadian paper? http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/12652

Do we have a "right" to health care? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203517304574306170677645070.html
The Cato Institute has an article on why a public option is hazardous to your health: http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=10382

John Bolton has an article in the WSJ http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203609204574316093622744808.html

Thomas Sowell has some of the same concerns: http://townhall.com/columnists/ThomasSowell/2009/07/28/disaster_in_the_making

And Senator Gillibrand is so busy changing her mind all the time that no one really knows where she stands on any issue: http://www.nypost.com/seven/07292009/postopinion/editorials/gillibrand_comes_around____again_181824.htm

  1. Another brilliant and insightful piece by Thomas Sowell. Thanks for posting it. I shudder to think what Barack Obama has to do (or do wrong) before he is finally criticized by the mainstream media. Particularly galling is that Sarah Palin continues to be portrayed as the intellectual lightweight while the President of the United States gets a free pass on his gaffes, missteps and miscues as he leads our country to ruin (a.k.a. "remaking America").
