Weekly Wrap-up

This week we welcomed some of the world’s most violent, barbaric tyrants to New York – including Libyan lunatic Moammar Gaddafi (http://tinyurl.com/yalugms), Iranian thug and Holocaust denier Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (http://tinyurl.com/ycfvfk2) and Venezuelan madman Hugo Chavez, (http://tinyurl.com/y8pn5w2) – as the United Nations once again proved just how useless it really is.

So many brutal dictators, so many shameless oppressors – and yet who was apologizing? Our very own President, Barack Obama, whose reference to America as “my nation” brilliantly illustrated his self-involved approach to the world we live in.

Oh, and according to Obama, his country is not so horrible now that he’s President. Here’s the speech, if you’d like to read it – though we here at the Conservative Party don’t advocate such brutal torture:

And here’s some outstanding analysis from The Heritage Foundation, where they help us remember that as Americans, we have nothing to be ashamed of:

It seems that Gov. David Paterson is no longer on the Obama bandwagon:

But of course, the President still has plenty of supporters, including a big fan down in Cuba...

And even his fellow UN performer, Mr. Gaddafi, is an admirer:

Speaking of Cuba, let’s not forget the President’s plans for government-run health care.

This week we’ve seen Congress and the White House oppose a simple measure to let the American people (and their elected representatives) know exactly what is in health care legislation passed by Congress:

And we’ve seen the Obama Administration and members of Congress crack down on those who speak out against the health care “reforms” they’re pushing:

I’m sure plenty of President Obama’s friends at the U.N. would be impressed by these strong-arm tactics. I’m not.

That’s it for now. Have a great weekend, and check back next week for all the news and information, including new developments in the 23rd congressional district campaign.
