Weekly Wrap-Up

This week conservatives are talking taxes and spending on the campaign trail...

Meanwhile in Washington, Congress couldn’t bother to pass a budget or stop tax increases...

... but Chuck Schumer found time to focus on truly important matters, like the volume on TV commercials.

Loud TV commercials can be annoying, but is this really the most urgent crisis facing America right now?

The Washington Times discusses Schumer’s reinvention as a tax cutter (as long taxpayers aren’t too successful).

Fortunately there’s a bipartisan consensus building around serious tax relief.

The Heritage Foundation has released a report on the impact of the Obama tax hikes. The numbers are alarming.

And when it comes to how our tax dollars are spent, thank goodness Sen. Tom Coburn is willing to hold the federal government and his colleagues in Congress accountable. His latest target in the battle against wasteful spending? “School House Pork.”

Rahm Emanuel has left the White House so he can run for Mayor of Chicago.

How do you think this will change things at the White House? Give your opinion today in our Weekly Poll.

Have a great weekend!
