Another interesting week has arrived in the political world. A special election in Queens will be held tomorrow and there may even be a vote on Health Care Reform. You really have to see the photo that the NY Times has with its piece on HCR, can you imagine the uproar if any other paper had run a photo like that with President Bush. Will Congressmen listen to their constituents or jump to their political death?
Health Care Reform is not the only concern people have with this administration -- debt is the obvious pressing problem -- but more and more Americans are becoming increasingly uncomfortable with some appointees under the radar screen. And then there is this.
Who will replace Congressman Murtha in getting unpopular bills passed? You really have to watch this video.
Earmarks (Member Items) are a problem in New York as well as Washington.
The food police are at it again.
Sunday's New York Post Editorial is worth the read and would certainly be interesting.
E. J. McMahon's op-ed in the Wall Street Journal.
Mike Long's op-ed in Today's NY Post.
