Hearings are scheduled to begin on Thursday to consider the nomination of Congressman John McHugh as Secretary of the Army. When (and if) confirmed the race will really be on for his replacement. (Personally, Thomas Sowell should be nominated as a Justice of the Supreme Court, for his wisdom and insight is exactly the temperament needed.)
