Election Day 2008 in New York State was also historic...the State Senate is now controlled by a Democratic majority. Change is coming to New York as well as Washington – and New York taxpayers must brace ourselves if the spending habits and legislative agenda of Speaker Sheldon Silver are any indication of what the Democrat majority will do, or what Governor David Paterson is committed to signing into law.
